Wow, my first post. I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’ve been going back and forth on what message I wanted to share, what my brand is, who I want to be. Looking at entrepreneurs that have inspired me I noticed they all have their own unique styles and vision. Some of them clash, which tells me there is no “right way” to run a business. So I think I’ll do it my way, so here goes…
Hi, I’m Jon Arora. I’ve been in the IT industry since 2007. Technology has always been my passion, ever since I first played the Oregon Trail in my 1st grade after school computer lab. I feel very lucky that I’ve been able to turn my passion into a career, its hard sometimes and I do question why I do what I do, but at it’s core it makes me happy.
So…I guess the next thing is, What is this? Why ACG? Why put yourself out there? Those are all great questions, and I don’t think I know the answer yet. I’ve been trying to have answers before I shared this endeavor with all of you (my professional network), but I don’t think I need to.
ACG started as a very small thing, when I decided to leave one of my previous companies, a lot of folks in my network there were asking “Where are you going?” “Will you still be able to help out?” and expressing how they would like to work with me. I was humbled, but not ready until a ex-colleague reached out about a new opportunity with a client completely outside of our network. I figured what did I have to lose, so I took the job. Then as life goes that grew to the point where I had to incorporate, so I did. Now it’s at the point where I’m ready to officially share ACG with all of you.
What I do know is what I hope ACG can be, its basically who I strive to be everyday. Someone that can help. I want ACG to be different, because it has to be. I want to take my years of experience and expertise to help companies get real and honest feedback to their problems. I want ACG to be the place where they can go to have those tough conversations, and not just me “pitching” the latest and greatest tech. I want ACG to always have it’s clients best interests at heart.
Well, there it is. That is all I have for now, I don’t know what the future has for me or ACG. This just felt like a natural next step. So to all that know me and what I can do, if you know of anyone that could use my help, please don’t hesitate to put me in touch with them.
